My name is Patrick Kinch. I teach at Le Petit Prince elementary school in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. All of my students are francophones. They learn English as a second language in grade four, five and six. I have collected some texts and pictures to share with you. I hope you will enjoy learning about our school and our city. I'll be adding more information soon.
Hello! My name is Philippe. I really like our city. We are in the south of Quebec. We have a hot-air balloon festival every August. You can go boating on the Outaouais river. You can visit the beach at Lac-Beauchamp. In the winter we play a lot of hockey. We have the best teams in the province. Lots of people drive snowmobiles or ski too.
Hello my name is Nadia. I live in a small city called Gatineau. Gatineau has a population of about 105,000 people. There are a lot of great sites to visit here. The Gatineau Park has trees, valleys and wild animals like bears. It's a great place to have picnics. Les promenades de l'Outaouais is a small, but cool shopping center. There are great stores like Le Château, Suzy Shier and The Bay. Oh yes, I can'y forget the Cinéma 9. It has arcades and 9 rooms for movies! It's very exciting! Now that you know a bit more about our city I hope you'll come and visit us some time.
Hi! My name is Alexandre. I want to tell you about my primary school. It's called Le Petit Prince school. I love my school because there are a lots of cool projects to do. The teachers are funny and cool like my English teacher Patrick. My favorite subjects are Math and Physical Education. Our school is very big and it has about 600 students. I am in the 6th grade so next year I am going to high school but I am going to be a little sad. The principal of the school is Maurice. He is very serious and cool, because he thinks about things to do. My homeroom teacher's name is Danielle Boisvenue. My music teacher is Pierre. We learn to play instruments like the piano and the flute. For recess the students can enjoy lots of things like playing soccer, basketball, basseball and when winter comes, we can slide. We have a lots of computers in the school, we learn to surf on the net and we download programs. That's about it for my school.

At La Maison de la Culture you can find special theater rooms for all kinds of great shows. You can also go to the public library with a whole selection of books, magazines, videos, documentaries and much more. You absolutely should not miss the movie theater called Cinéma 9. It has the greatest variety of movies in town. My city is small but it's a great place to live.
Hello My name is Roxane. I'm in grade 5. I live in Gatineau. I love my city, because it is beautiful. It has lots of stores, libraries and movie theaters too. My neighbourhood is called the Côte D'Azur and my school is called Le Petit Prince. I love my school because it is cool!
